With a gift or pledge of $2500 or more, you can request to be matched with a specific community, by greatest need or aligned with your vision and goals. 100% of your funds will be dedicated to this community!

You'll also be provided information on the people you feed, how many meals or hampers your gift provides, what kind of food your gift provides, and more. If you have other questions about your sponsored community, we're happy to answer.

If you’re interested in sponsoring a community, the first step is to have a brief conversation about your values and goals. We'll follow up with a personalized dossier: we let you know where the need is greatest, what organizations are demonstrating excellence in meeting that need, and what specific support those organizations need in order to thrive. From there, we narrow our search to a proven, high-need organization where your gift will have significant impact in line with your vision.

Mazon is proud to represent a Jewish community that recognizes vastness of Canada’s hunger crisis, and the ways it touches those whose experiences are radically different from our own.

LAST YEAR, OUR SPONSORS PROVIDED:

HOMELESS TORONTONIANS with HOT, HEALTHY MEALS for 7 weeks at a downtown harm reduction site.
JEWISH SENIORS IN MONTREAL with weekly deliveries of HAMPERS AND PREPARED MEALS, providing hundreds of meals (including Passover supplies for homebound clients).
SINGLE MOTHERS IN RURAL LINCOLN, ONTARIO with 26,000 lbs of food annually through the purchase of a THREE-DOOR FREEZER that dramatically increased the sponsored program’s food rescue capacity.
INDIGENOUS SCHOOL CHILDREN IN HAIDA GWAII (northern BC) with 2,300 MEALS, SOURCED LOCALLY AND SUSTAINABLY to support not only the children but their environment and their local economy as well.
FAMILIES IN NORTH BATTLEFORD, SK with a brand-new HALF-ACRE COMMUNITY GARDEN, which will produce more than 5,000 lbs of fresh, sustainable food every year for the lifetime of the project.
